Team USA captain David Love III named three new members to his team for the Ryder Cup this morning. Once the eight automatic qualifiers were determined, he selected Ricky Fowler, Matt Kuchar, and former Kentucky Wildcat J.B. Holmes as captain’s picks.

Fowler, Kuchar, and Holmes will join Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed, Jimmy Walker, Brooks Koepka, Brandt Snedeker and Zach Johnson to take on the Europeans at the Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota.

"There were questions as late as last night,'' Love told the press. "We went through a lot of scenarios. We talked about a lot of great players. It was a very, very tough decision. We kept coming back to three for now.''

The final spot on the team will likely be selected on September 25th, with many suggesting that Bubba Watson is the leading candidate.

Holmes is also no stranger to international competition. He has represented the United States in four previous tournaments, all of which resulted in victories for the old red, white, and blue. This year, the United States looks to avenge back to back Ryder Cup losses.

2016 has easily been the best year of Holmes’ career has he finished 3rd at The Open Championship and tied for 4th at The Masters. Tune in and support him from September 27th-October 2nd as he looks to lead the USA to victory once again.
