NCAA Football: Kentucky at Florida Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Another fall Saturday features another Kentucky vs Florida matchup.

For much of the past three decades, this has been a game the Gators win decisively, but give Mark Stoops credit: The former Florida State defensive coordinator has helped make this a competitive affair every year he’s been in Lexington,.

However, last week’s loss to Southern Miss has Stoops losing hold of his program, and he needs a win here to get this ship steered back in the right direction. I don’t think it’s a stretch to call this the most important game of the Stoops era. There’s no question he needs this win now more than he’s ever needed a win as a head coach.
