The Class of 2017 star has just announced his new list of schools, which includes UK among the eight programs vying for the five-star forward.

A consensus top-20 prospect out of Findlay College Prep, Washington is ranked as the 16th-overall prospect in 2017 by 247 Sports Composite, which takes into account all the major recruiting services. They all have Washington ranked at least 19th (Rivals) and as high as 14th (Scout).
The Frisco (TX) native is thought to be seriously looking at UK and the home-state Texas Longhorns with those other schools fighting to catch up. As of now, Washington is one of the 3-5 likeliest commitments for UK next year if they give him a committable offer.
But as we've mentioned with many prospects UK is looking at, John Calipari is carefully deciding which guys he's willing to take now, which ones he wants to wait a little longer to take, and which he'd simply rather pass on to try and get someone better.
That said, Washington is someone who deserves to be part of UK's 2017 class if he wants to be. After all, the Cats probably sign 6-8 guys in that class, and Washington would easily be one of the 2-4 best if he's part of it.
