If anyone knows talent when he sees it, it's LeBron James.
The Cavaliers forward is still the best basketball player in the world, so when he praises someone, it means something. That's what LeBron gave to Suns sharpshooter Devin Booker. After an amazing rookie season, Booker is already being pegged as a future NBA All-Star by media, fans, and even players.
LeBron is among them. When asked about an NBA player that people need to quit sleeping on in an interview with Uninterrupted, James said that he sees Booker becoming an All-Star player for the Suns.
"That no one knows about? You know, what? I'm going to be honest," James said. "If it's someone who is under the radar right now that I believe is going to be a really, really, really good, All-Star player in the league - it's Devin Booker from the Phoenix Suns."
Go here to listen to all of LeBron's comments. His praise of Booker starts around the 1:22:00 mark.
Booker, who played one season with the Kentucky Wildcats in 2014-15, finished his NBA rookie season averaging 13.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He was playing at an All-Star level during the second half of last season, and we should expect to see him make that game several times in the foreseeable future.
Booker is just too talented not to make it there on a fairly regular basis.
