The college basketball season is still almost three full months away from the first regular-season game tipping off.
In the meantime, Scout.com recruiting director Evan Daniels talked with the KSTV crew about how the Kentucky Wildcats' 2017 class is shaping up. He talked about the latest developments with five-star point guards Trae Young and Quade Green, as well as five-star forwards John Petty and P.J. Washington.
But more interestingly, Daniels talked about the impact UK assistant Joel Justus has had on the recruiting front, even saying Justus played a key role in UK getting Bam Adebayo and Sacha Killeya-Jones. Justus is the youngest member of UK's staff, having finished his college hoops career at UNC-Wilmington in 2004. He can relate to young recruits in their teens much better than the rest of UK's veteran staff, so it looks like the addition of Justus two years ago is already paying big dividends.
