Charles Walker is no longer a walk-on receiver for the Kentucky Wildcats.
Now, Walker is a scholarship player, which he became Friday as head coach Mark Stoops awarded the junior for all he's done for UK.

A former St. Xavier (KY) star, Walker originally came to UK in 2014. Unlike many freshmen, Walker played well enough in summer camp that he was able to play his first year in Lexington, appearing in all 12 games. He caught a four-yard pass in a win over Vanderbilt while making three tackles on special teams during the season.
As a sophomore in 2015, Walker played in all 12 games with one start, finishing with five catches for 61 yards. He ranked second on the team with six special teams tackles while returning three punts for a 7.3-yard average.
