The Kentucky Wildcats' recruiting efforts in the 2017 class will heat up soon.
Between the summer AAU circuit and 2017 prospects now being able to take official visits now that they're high school seniors, John Calipari and his staff will be getting a lot more up-close looks at the top prospects for next year.
One guy vying to be the best of them all is five-star center Mohamed Bamba, who is currently ranked by 247 Sports Composite as the No. 2 prospect in 2017. He is set to visit UK late this month, which has been expected for a while now.
However, Bamba will be joined on said visit by a prospect UK hasn't shown much interest in thus far. According to 247 Sports, Quade Green will visit Kentucky later this month along with Bama, his AAU teammate.
Green, a 5-11 point guard from Neumann Goretti High School in Philadelphia (PA), is heavily interested in Syracuse and Maryland at this point, but is also looking at Duke and Kentucky, even though those two blue bloods have yet to offer.
It's unlikely UK is looking at Green as their top PG target for 2017, but perhaps he's someone they'd like to add as a second PG behind Trae Young, who remains their top guy there. Calipari wants to add two point guard in this class, so Green may be a name to watch for in the coming months.
