Quade Green offered by Kentucky Wildcats

For much of John Calipari's tenure, the Kentucky Wildcats routinely had the top-ranked recruiting class while getting just about every guy they wanted.

However, the margin between UK and the rest of college basketball in getting those elite prospects has narrowed, specifically in what Duke has been doing. The last three recruiting classes have seen the Cats and Blue Devils battle it out for several elite prospects and be pretty split for the most part.

The latest Kentucky vs Duke recruit is five-star point guard Quade Green, who just picked up an offer from Coach Cal a week after Coach K offered.

Green just wrapped up an unofficial visit with Kentucky, which went pretty well based on his Twitter reaction:

Green, a 5-11 point guard from Neumann Goretti High School in Philadelphia (PA), has been heavily interested in Villanova, Syracuse and Maryland to this point in his recruitment, but is now firmly on the radar of Calipari and Krzyzewski.

We're starting to see why in various recruiting rankings. The biggest riser in the new Rivals.com rankings is Green, who moved from No. 50 to No. 25 and earned his fifth star.

Be sure to read our own Jeremy Chisenhall's breakdown of Green, and then enjoy some of his highlights:
