NBA Trade Rumors: Nerlens Noel and Jeff Teague may swap teams

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

It's already been reported that the Philadelphia 76ers are looking to move Nerlens Noel and/or Jahlil Okafor this offseason, and it looks like the former may be the one on the move.

According to Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania, Noel may be shipped to the Atlanta Hawk in a deal that would mainly feature point guard Jeff Teague going to Philly for Noel.

Noel probably needs to go to a new team if he wants to enjoy a winning season anytime soon, and the Hawks have been one of the NBA's winningest teams over the past two seasons. Even with the likely addition of Ben Simmons via the No. 1 overall pick in this year's NBA Draft, the 76ers just aren't ready to even flirt with a .500 record, let alone a playoff berth.

This past season, Noel appeared in 67 games while averaging 11.1 ppg on 52.1% shooting with 8.1 boards, 1.5 blocks and 1.8 steals per game while splitting time with Okafor at center.

That's not even accounting for what Joel Embiid can give the Sixers if he can stay healthy, which could lead to Noel's minutes dramatically decreasing if he doesn't find a new team soon.
