The recruitment of Marques Bolden finally ended mercifully two weeks ago as the five-star center picked Duke over Kentucky, despite the Wildcats long being rumored to be his preferred destination.
But it was no secret that throughout Bolden's recruitment, his mother was adamant her son commit to Duke, and that's what finally happened. Unfortunately, there may be a similar situation brewing with five-star big man Wendell Carter Jr. in the 2017 class.
According to Aaron Kall, Carter favors the Wildcats right now, but his parents prefer the blue Devils to be their son's eventual college destination.
A good source says 2017 5 star recruit Wendell Carter Jr. prefers UK, but his parents favor Duke or Harvard- This could be Bolden sequel

Carter recently told Zags Blog that UK was higher on his list than people realized, maybe even enough that the Cats are his top school right now, though it's far too early in his recruitment for that to mean anything even if it is the case.
At this point, Carter is ranked by most scouting services as a top-three prospect with the potential to be No. 1 overall when it's all said and done. That's why UK and Duke are likely headed for another battle of blue bloods for an elite recruit, the way it should be.
Let's just hope Carter's parents let him go where he wishes, which not all parents are willing to let their children do.
