As expected, it looks like Marcus Lee is strongly considering a transfer to a school on the west coast.
Despite reported interest from notable schools like Kansas and Iowa State, the former Kentucky Wildcats big man wants to go to a school closer to his California roots, so what better school to do so than with the Cal Bears?
That's who ESPN's Jeff Goodman reports is the early front-runner to land Lee.
Sounding like California is the early frontrunner for Marcus Lee, source told ESPN. Bears were heavily in mix when he chose UK.

As Goodman alluded to, Cal was one of the schools recruiting Lee the hardest before he joined UK back in 2013. That was during the Mike Montgomery regime though, and now it's Cuonzo Martin running the ship there. He's already landed elite prospects like Ivan Rabb and Jaylen Brown as the Bears have become a far stronger program under Martin than it was during the final years of Montgomery.
It would seem ironic to see Lee go from playing for Coach Cal to Cal the school.
