Kentucky Wildcats revealing basketball roster numbers for 2016-17 season

What numbers will the new Cats wear next season? We're getting an early peak.

With the news of Isaiah Briscoe returning and Marcus Lee leaving, we're beginning to see incoming Kentucky Wildcats announce what numbers they'll wear next season.

Five-star point guard De'Aaron Fox will don No. 0.

Just as he wore in high school, five-star guard Malik Monk will wear No. 5 at UK.

Recent history hasn't been too great for the No. 5 at UK, but it has been worn by Travis Ford, Wayne Turner and Andrew Harrison, all of whom went to the Final Four. Monk will be a big-time player for this team if they make it that far.

Five-star forward/center Sacha Killeya-Jones will wear No. 1.

Under John Calipari, we've seen Skal Labissiere, Devin Booker and James Young wear No. 1 for one season before leaving for the NBA Draft. Hopefully we get to see Sacha for at least two years, but there's no question he has the talent to be a one-and-done guy.

As for Bam Adebayo, it's no. 3 for the five-star forward.

Adebayo wore No. 13 in high school, but that number is occupied by Isaiah Briscoe as he is returning to UK for his sophomore season. Adebayo instead will be No. 3, which has been worn by Terrence Jones, Nerlens Noel and Tyler Ulis. Not bad company to be associated with.

Five-star forward Wenyen Gabriel recently announced that he will wear No. 32 next season. That number hasn't been worn by a scholarship player since Joe Crawford donned it back in the mid 2000s.

And last but certainly not least, Brad Calipari will wear no. 20, formerly worn by NCAA champion Doron Lamb.

Next season can't get here soon enough.
