P.J. Washington list still has Kentucky Wildcats

One of the top prospects in the 2017 recruiting class is P.J. Washington, whom UK is in great shape with as we head into the summer evaluation period.

Washington, a 6-7, 225-pound forward from Findley Prep, is rated as the 19th-best prospect in 2017 by ESPN and sixth-best by Future 150. He now has a new list of schools in consideration, and it still has UK among them.

Back in December, Washington cut his list to 13 schools, and they included UNLV, Michigan, Memphis and Texas A&M. those three schools are obviously not included in said tweet, and it now includes new schools in NC State and Georgetown.

Regardless, Washington is a guy UK is in very good shape with and may be able to land if they so choose. Washington just hosted UK coaches back in April, and his current plan is to visit Lexington at some point.

The problem is UK is also in great shape with many other 2017 prospects, enough so that John Calipari once again faces the quandary of which ones to take and which guys he should wait on. At this point, Washington is the kind of talent who UK should take if he wants to commit, which doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon.

In other words, just another day in the office for Calipari and Kentucky Basketball.
