2016 NBA Draft Lottery Primer

The 2016 NBA Draft Lottery takes place Tuesday night as 14 teams see their futures hinge on a series of ping-pong ball combinations.

The order at the top of the 2016 NBA Draft will be determined on Tuesday night with the annual draft lottery as teams like the Lakers, Sixers, Celtics, Kings and Timberwolves look to score the No. 1 overall pick and a shot at Ben Simmons, who remains the heavy favorite to be the top pick.

There will be three former Kentucky Wildcats repping their teams tonight as the ping-pong balls are selected and their teams' futures possibly shifting dramatically. Devin Booker will be representing the Suns, Willie Cauley-Stein will rep the Kings, and Karl-Anthony Towns will rep the Timberwolves.

Trades in play for the lottery:

— The 76ers receive the Lakers' pick if the selection falls outside of top three.

— The Celtics receive the Nets' first-round pick (no protection).

— The Nuggets can switch picks with the Knicks should the Knicks end up with a higher selection. The Raptors will receive the less favorable of the two picks.

— The Bulls receive the Kings' pick if it falls outside the top 10. If the Kings finish ahead of the 76ers in the lottery, Philadelphia can switch picks with Sacramento.

— The Suns receive the Wizards' pick if it falls outside of the top nine.
