John Calipari Holding Kentucky Basketball Press Conference on Wednesday

The Kentucky Wildcats are having a special basketball press conference on Wednesday that head coach John Calipari will be part of.

This doesn't appear to be any kind of special announcement, but it is quite odd that Cal is holding a press conference in the middle of May.

Here's what the release reads:

Due to some outstanding interview requests and because we were unable to conduct a season wrap-up media opportunity at the end of the basketball year, we will have an offseason media opportunity with Kentucky men’s basketball head coach John Calipari on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Memorial Coliseum media room.

I would venture to guess we may hear some kind of clarification on freshman guard Isaiah Briscoe and/or junior forward Marcus Lee, both of whom are currently in the NBA Draft. Briscoe is expected to withdraw at some point, but Lee is believed to be focused on remaining in the draft and playing professional basketball next year.
