The No. 13 Kentucky baseball Cats are on a tear right now after clinching their fourth consecutive series to open SEC play.
The latest came after Kentucky (22-8, 8-3 in SEC) won Game 2 of their weekend slate with Alabama (18-13, 5-6 in SEC) to clinch the series in walk-off fashion. With the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the 9th after Bama had just tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the inning, sophomore infielder Riley Mahan clubbed a grand slam to give UK a 6-2 win.
Here are the highlights:
UK will look for the series sweep on Sunday when they host Bama in Game 3 at 1 p.m. ET at Cliff Hagan Stadium. The Cats won Game 1 on Friday by a 3-2 score before Saturday's walk-off thriller.
After missing out on the NCAA Tournament last year thanks in large part to a 14-15 record in SEC play, UK is already six wins from matching that conference win total thanks to an 8-3 start in league play.
