Kentucky Basketball Recruiting: Evan Daniels talks Jarrett Allen, Marques Bolden, more

The latest news regarding UK's 2016 class as John Calipari looks to finish off his best class ever.

With the April signing period coming next week, the Kentucky Wildcats continue to work hard to finish off an amazing 2016 recruiting haul.

April 13th is when the next period to sign National Letters of Intent begins, and that goes until May 18th. Between those two days will be when most, if not all of the remaining big-name prospects will have committed to a school.

Scout.com recruiting director Evan Daniels just did a recruiting update with the cn2 gang to discuss about the rise of Jamal Murray, who was playing on the AAU circuit this time last year, but eventually re-classed to the 2016 class, committed to Kentucky, and the rest is history.

Daniels also said that five-star big man Jarrett Allen is still an option for Kentucky, though it's unclear how much after originally being close to committing to UK back in the fall, but Bam Adebayo did so first, leaving Allen to sit back and reassess his recruitment. It looks like in the process of doing so, Texas and Houston have now become the likely landing spots for him.

But more importantly, Daniels updated the recruitment of five-star center Marques Bolden, the final piece to the 2016 class that will give either UK or Duke the No. 1 recruiting class this year. Daniels also admitted that if UK lands Bolden, this would be John Calipari's best recruiting class ever.

And while Duke appears to be the favorite right now, Daniels said he doesn't think Bolden is looking hard at both school and has not made his college choice, nor is he leaning towards either school at the moment.
