As expected, Hamidou Diallo now holds a scholarship offer from the Kentucky Wildcats.

One of the top overall players in the 2017 recruiting class, Diallo has seen his list of offers increase dramatically this week in terms of the caliber of programs now making him a priority in their respective classes.
Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski offered Diallo a scholarship on Tuesday. The already holds offers from Kansas, UConn, Arizona, Syracuse and many other high-major programs.
But if you're going off 247 Sports' Crystal Ball, UK may be the team to beat for Diallo.
Earlier this week and for much of this offseason, it was 50-50 in terms of picks for UK and UConn for the Queens Village (NY) product, but that was before UK offered Diallo and is apparently making him a priority in the 2017 class.
That's a wise move by John Calipari and his staff as Diallo is regarded as one of, if not the best shooting guard/wing in the 2017 class. The 6-4, 170-pound Diallo is ranked by 247 as the No. 10 overall prospect and No. 2 shooting guard for 2017.
With De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk likely being one-and-dones, not to mention Dominique Hawkins graduating and Isaiah Briscoe likely going pro this year or in 2017, there's going to be a lot of playing time open at the 2 and 3 spots next year.
