Gary Trent Jr. says Kentucky among schools recruiting him hardest

Trent is one of the top shooting guards in the 2017 class.

As Kentucky continues to focus more on the 2017 class, the prospects who they're focusing on is becoming more clear.

Add five-star shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. to the list of prospects UK is making a high priority. Trent recently revealed the five schools that are recruiting him the hardest, with Kentucky being among the five.

Trent is a 6'5 shooting guard from Apple Valley, Minnesota ranked as one of the best shooting guards in the country and a top 15 player by nearly every recruiting service.

Duke is the popular pick in the 247 Sports Crystal Ball, garnering 93% with 13/14 predictions leaning toward the Blue Devils. The only other pick was for Ohio State (although it was made nearly a year ago).

Another interesting part of this recruitment is the fact that Trent said last year (and certainly things like these can and do change) that he and five-star power forward Wendell Carter would form a package deal.

The team that is seen as the leading contender for both Trent and Carter?
