While much of the focus in Lexington centers around a certain center in 2016, the 2017 class is where John Calipari's focus is today.
According to Garrett Tucker of Futures 150, Calipari will be visiting with five-star wing John Petty today.

While Tucker calls Petty a shooting guard, his position is more projected to be as a wing at the college level. The 6-7, 180-pounder from J.O. Johnson High School in Huntsville (AL) Petty is the top prospect from the state of Alabama and ranked by ESPN as the 10th-overall prospect in 2017.
Calipari has made Petty a top priority for UK's 2017 class, which currently does not have any commitments. UK offered Petty way back in May of last year as they've been in heavy pursuit of him since then.
Petty is also viewed as a heavy UK lean based on his 247 Sports Crystal Ball:
At this point, Petty is the favorite to be UK's first commitment in the 2017 class, and perhaps today's meeting goes a long way in making that happen.
