Kentucky Wildcats Blue-White Game Highlights and Box Score

Jason Marcum

The Kentucky Wildcats wrapped up a productive spring with the annual Blue-White scrimmage Saturday on a beautiful day at Commonwealth Stadium.

While it wasn't always pretty, both sides of the ball produced some beautiful plays, whether it was Sihiem King's 43-yard run, Denzil Ware's four sacks or Stephen Johnson's bomb to Jeff Badet for an 85-yard score.

It was a fun game to watch as both sides showed the potential to make 2016 a special season. It was also a good day for the two quarterbacks who were vying for the starting job. Drew Barker finished 12-of-18 for 156 yards and two scores vs one pick, while Johnson finished 6-of-13 for 135 yards and one score while running for 69 yards on 11 carries.

Senior running back Jojo Kemp had a big day with 67 rushing yards on nine carries with 37 yards through the air on three grabs. He and Barker helped lead the Blue Team, comprised of mostly starters, to a 31-20 win over the White Team, which was mainly backups with a few starters mixed in.
