John Calipari has made it no secret he's really high on next year's team.
A big reason why is Cal believes he's got his best recruiting class ever coming to Lexington this year, which may or may not include five-star center Marques Bolden. Even without Bolden, this will easily be one of the best teams in college basketball when the 2017 NCAA Tournament begins, so long as this group of Cats stays healthy and focused on the task at hand.
But for now, some of the potential players on that team are weighing their professional options as they mull over staying in the 2016 NBA Draft. That includes guard/wing Isaiah Briscoe and forward Marcus Lee, who are both still considering the NBA vs coming back to college.

Calipari went on the Bob Valvano show Friday afternoon to chat with Bob and Mike Pratt, and Cal revealed that both Lee and Briscoe are probably going to the NBA Draft Combine.
"Isaiah Briscoe and Marcus Lee are still going to explore their options and probably go to the combine without an agent, finish academically," Calipari said.
That's not a bad thing, though it does mean UK won't know if those two will be back for another month or so.
During that same segment, Cal also said that next year’s UK squad may be his best defensive team ever.
"This team coming up could be the best defensive team that I’ve coached," Calipari said. "They could be unbelievable on the ball with length: Length behind, athleticism, shot blocking, which makes your team different. I don’t know yet. I’m excited about the team, I’m excited about what we have, but it’s too early to figure out stuff."
Cal also said during the middle of the interview that, "We may end up getting one more guy. How is that guy? How good does he fit into all of this?" That was probably a reference to Bolden possibly joining the team.
