An amazing year for Danny Trevathan continues with his first big NFL contract.
After winning a Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos, Danny boy is taking his talents to the Windy City as he's agreed to a massive deal with the Chicago Bears.
The #Bears agreed to terms with LB Danny Trevathan on a 4-year deal worth roughly $28M, source said.

The former Kentucky Wildcats star linebacker just finished his rookie NFL contract, meaning he's just now making millions of dollars per season vs the $500-700K he'd be making annually to this point. He's earned every penny of it as he's become one of the NFL's best linebackers.
Trevathan was Pro Football Focus' 10th-best overall linebacker this past season as he helped the Broncos' top-ranked defense suffocate opponents en route to the franchise's third Super Bowl. He finished the regular season with 109 tackles, two interceptions and a defensive touchdown.
Entering his fifth NFL season, Trevathan provides Chicago with a much-needed upgrade to the middle of their defense. He played three years in Denver under Bears head coach John Fox and has a built-in comfort level with Chicago's 3-4 defensive scheme.
In 50 career games, he has 282 tackles, three sacks, five interceptions, four forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He'll be 26 years old when the 2016 season opens, and has three productive seasons in the four years since the Broncos took him in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft (missed most of 2014 due to knee injury).
At that young of an age with just four years on his new deal, it's very possible Danny boy is signing another massive deal before his NFL career is over. Whatever happens, you couldn't ask for a better first five years in the NFL than what the former Cat has had.
Congratulations to Danny on his big contract and new opportunity with the Bears.
