The Kentucky Wildcats wrapped up the regular season with a pair of weekly SEC award winners.
Thanks to a pair of wins over Florida and LSU, the Cats swept the final weekly league honors after Skal Labissiere took home the SEC co-Freshman of the Week with Texas A&M's Tyler Davis, while Jamal Murray was named the SEC Player of the Week.
The breakout week for Skal began at Florida, where the 6-11 big man totaled 11 points and eight rebounds in a critical win in Gainesville. He followed that up with 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting with nine boards and six blocks in the shellacking of LSU.
Here are highlights from both of those performances:
As for Murray, he averaged 21.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and four assists in those two. He continued his streak of 20 or more point performances with 21 at Florida and 22 in the regular-season finale against LSU on Saturday en route to securing UK’s 47th regular-season SEC title.
Murray shot 50.0 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from behind the arc as he drained four 3-pointers in both contests.
