Skal Labissiere has block party on LSU

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

It may have taken longer than anticipated, but Skal Labissiere is becoming the force Kentucky needed him to be in order to become a Final Four contender.

After falling int the rotation to the point he was rarely seeing game action in SEC play, Skal has emerged as a force in the paint offensively and defensively. Against Florida on Tuesday, it was his offense on display as he recorded 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting.

But for LSU, Skal's much-improved defense was on display as he put on a block party on the Tigers.

Skal recorded his fifth block at the 18:42 mark in the second half as he helped UK build a lead as big as 16. That's a far cry from the game in Baton Rouge when the Tigers were the ones up big most of the game as Skal finished with no blocks, two boards and three points.
