Great piece on John Calipari and Kentucky Wildcats NBA Empire

New, 2 comments

John Calipari has easily been one of the biggest figures in basketball since coming to Kentucky.

Though you could argue there are coaches and even programs who've had slightly more success, there's no question the Wildcats and Cal have impacted the sport of basketball more than any single program and coach have.

That's why Bleacher Report did a fascinating piece on the rise of Calipari's NBA empire in Lexington that's made the Kentucky brand as powerful as any school.

The feature goes through the amazing highs and the painful lows of that memorable 2009-10 season, which may have ended in the Elite Eight, but was only the beginning of an empire Kentucky was building that's led to four Final Fours, a takeover of the NBA and many lives changed forever for the better.
