The Kentucky Wildcats have run a tight ship under head coach Mark Stoops, and that's not changing this offseason.
The school has confirmed freshman defensive back Will Jackson has been dismissed for a violation of team rules. Jackson redshirted this past season after signing with UK in the class of 2016.
Must Reads
The 6’3 190 pound Jackson hails from Washington, DC, where played both ways at St. John’s High School, seeing action at wide receiver and cornerback. He was previously committed to Western Michigan while holding an offer from Wake Forest.
When it comes to rankings, Will was considered the 184th athlete, and 2,385th overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to the 247Sports Composite. Before his pledge to WMU, Jackson reportedly held scholarship offers from programs such as Ohio, Toledo, UConn, Nevada, and North Carolina State.
You never want to see players lost due to off-the-field-issues, but the loss of Jackson isn't exactly a big one for UK. Defensive back is one of the team's deeper positions thanks to strong recruiting hauls there every year under Stoops and co.
