Derek Willis and Marcus Lee should play vs Texas A&M; Alex Poythress may return at Vanderbilt

There's some potentially good news regarding all of the Cats' injured big men.

It looks as though the Kentucky Wildcats may be at full health as soon as next week.

For now, the concern is at Texas A&M, where a hobbled Derek Willis and Marcus Lee are battling injuries in hopes of playing today vs the Aggies. Lee is dealing with a back strain suffered during Thursday's win over Tennessee, while Willis has a variety of minor injuries that have had him walking around like an old man over the past few days.

It looks like both of them will play vs the Aggies, and fellow big man Alex Poythress may return as soon as next Saturday at Vanderbilt. That's what Kyle tucker is reporting a few hours before tipoff at A&M:

There's' also been photos of both Lee and Willis at shootaround today, suggesting they would both go.

Tucker reported back on Wednesday that Alex may return next week after the senior forward had a minor procedure done on his non-surgically repaired knee two weeks ago. Having all three of these guys back for the final three games at Vandy, at Florida and at home vs LSU would be huge for the Cats as they look to finish strong and earn a higher seed in the NCAA Tournament.
