The Kentucky Wildcats are getting set for another huge football recruiting weekend.
According to Ben Roberts of the Herald-Leader, UK is set to host JUCO defensive back Brian Cole, cornerback Yusuf Corker, offensive lineman Sebastien Dolcine, wide receiver Isaiah Epps, JUCO defensive lineman Craig Evans,, JUCO defensive lineman Brandon Henderson, and offensive lineman Zalontae Hillery.
Most of these guys were previously confirmed to be visiting this weekend, but Ford and Corker are both surprise late additions. Corker is a four-star cornerback ranked 221st overall in 2017 by ESPN. Getting a talent like him on campus is big news for UK.
Hillery is also committed to Miami as he gets set to visit this weekend. He’s a three-star offensive tackle ranked 474th overall in the 2017 class by 247 Sports. Evans and Henderson would be experienced linemen for a UK defensive line that was dangerously thin for far too much of 2016.
Cole, who initially planned to transfer from Michigan to UK this past offseason, is now a three-star prospect ranked as the second-best JUCO safety. He would be a great addition to an already talented UK secondary that is losing J.D. Harmon, Marcus McWilson and Blake McClain to graduation.
Epps is a fairly new name after UK offered him just this week, and he quickly set up a visit to Lexington. He doesn’t have an evaluation in most recruiting services, but UK coaches like what they’ve seen from the 6-3, 185-pound receiver.
Dolcine is a three-star offensive lineman committed to UCF right now, but it looks like UK is poised to flip him. He is expected to play guard in college.
Joining all of the above names will be current UK commitments Phil Hoskins and Danny Clark. Hoskins is a three-star JUCO defensive lineman (seeing the theme here?), and Clark is a four-star quarterback prospect. Having those two to help recruit those other guys will be a nice plus for UK this weekend.
Defensive lineman Jonathan Ford was also set to visit this weekend, but that visit appears to have been pushed back to a later date. Ford, who is currently committed to Miami and is rated by Scout.com as a four-star prospect, plays at Dillard High School, which is where 2017 UK target Jordan Wright plays as well. Ford is the 17th-best defensive tackle in 2017.
