It seems like forever ago that the Kentucky Wildcats football team defeated the Louisville Cardinals and officially changed their season and their fortunes. Since that win, the 'Cats have conquered the recruiting trail and were invited to their first bowl game since the Joker Phillips era. And it's a New Years Eve bowl at that.
It's finally here, Big Blue Nation. Game Day is upon us and Mark Stoops is looking to put the cherry on top of what has been one helluva season. A win today would give his team eight wins and would propel them forward into next season, a season that has the potential to be really special.
The fans have showed up in Jacksonville in force. This bowl-starved base has been waiting for years for a reason to support this football program and now that time has come. For those of you in Jacksonville, enjoy.
As always, I will be on the radio directly after the game in order to talk about the action with Lachlan McLean on ESPN 680. If you aren't in Louisville, stream is on iHeartRadio.
