Malik Monk had one of UK's all-time halves of basketball against North Carolina.
The star freshman from Arkansas lit up the Tar Heels to the tune of 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting, including 4-of-8 on three-pointers. Every point was needed to give UK a 56-51 halftime lead in the matchup of top-10 powers, and it was special to watch.
Most of his points came from deep, where Monk was unconscious for much of the half to the point he was on pace with Jodie Meeks' school-record 10 three-pointers a 54-point outing and 10 three-pointers.
