Kevaughn Dingle decommits from Miami; Kentucky now leader for 4-star WR

New, 5 comments

The Kentucky Wildcats are on a nice hot streak on the recruiting trail, and that could continue with one of the top uncommitted receivers in 2017.

On Thursday, four-star prospect Kevaughn Dingle announced his decommitment from Miami.

And according to 247 Sports, UK is now Dingle's leader after an in-home visit with receivers coach Lamar Thomas this week.

Dingle, who hails from Miami Carol City (FL), is rated as a four-star receiver and the 280th-best recruit in 2017. The 6-1, 195-pound receiver told 247 that UK, Illinois, West Virginia, Louisville, and FIU have been in contact with him the most recently. He will be at UK for an official visit on the weekend of Jan. 27. That's the same weekend UK faces Kansas in a big hoops matchup, so Lexington will certainly be buzzing that weekend.

As of now, UK has 19 commitments in 2017 with just 3-5 more spots available. Dingle looks like someone UK is making a priority to fill one of those final spots.
