The Kentucky Wildcats have scored a commitment from one of their top offensive line targets in 2017.
It comes in the form of Sebastien Dolcine who committed to UK Monday morning. He was previously committed to UCF, but flipped to UK following his visit this past weekend. 247 Sports broke the news first and got some thoughts from Dolcine on his decision.
"He (Stoops) said he's excited to have me," Dolcine said. "He said they will be trying most of all for me to get my degree. He said the football part will work out. I chose the Wildcats because when I went up there and looked around I saw the coaches and players I knew that would be a great home to me. The offensive line all have each other's back and have that love for each other, that genuine love with me and the other offensive linemen."
Dolcine, who hails from Miramar High School (FL), is rated as a three-star prospect who had scholarship offers from Wake Forest, Florida Atlantic FIU, Temple, and others. The 6-4, 286-pound receiver was essentially down to UK and UCF before Mark Stoops and his staff hosted him for an official visit this past weekend and sealed the deal.
"I loved it," Dolcine said. "Just the relationship with the players. That's a bonus. I'm comfortable. I needed to think about my future. Going to Kentucky gives me the chance to play in the NFL. I love the relationship the players have there."
Dolcine follows the lead of fellow Florida native Chris Whittaker, who also flipped from UCF to UK last week.
Most of the recruiting services don't have a good evaluation on Dolcine, who is ranked as the nation's No. 78 guard and the No. 231 prospect in Florida in the 2017 class by 247 Sports Composite. ESPN and Rivals.com have yet to evaluate him.
