Playing a Sunday afternoon hoops game is an odd slot for any team, and it was clear early on UK was out of sync in their Brooklyn matchup with Hofstra.
With four minutes left in the first half, UK led just 36-33 over the 28-point underdog Pride. In the blink of an eye, the Cats went into the half leading 48-33, which was part of an 18-0 run that UK used to put this game out of reach early in the second half.
It was sheer domination after the sluggish start, thanks in large part to Isaiah Briscoe putting on a masterful game. The sophomore guard finished with 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting with six assists and two boards.
Malik Monk chipped in 20 points and four assists. Bam Adebayo added 14 points, seven boards and a pair of blocks. He and Monk also hooked up for this nice lob:
