The Kentucky Wildcats will get word soon on the status of Shai Alexander, but not before he takes one more visit.
According to Scout.com’s Evan Daniels and ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, Alexander will make his college decision next Monday following a visit with the Texas Longhorns.

Alexander is a four-star guard from the 2017 class who recently decommitted from the Florida Gators. Kentucky, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Syracuse have also shown interest and/or offered a scholarship.
The 6-5 guard out of Hamilton Heights in Chattanooga (TN) averaged 15.8 points and 4.8 assists per game for Wings Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit this year. Scout.com ranks Alexander as the 46th-best prospect and the No. 12 point guard. ESPN ranks him 46th overall and the No. 10 point guard. Rivals ranks him 53rd overall.
As of Tuesday night, UK is getting 100 percent of the 247 Crystal Ball picks for Alexander.
John Calipari just offered Alexander a scholarship last Tuesday before he visited this past weekend.
