ESPN Bracketology already high on Kentucky Basketball

It’s barely even November, and ESPN’s bracket expert already has his first prediction out.

March isn’t going to be around for another several months, but don’t tell Joe Lunardi that. The bracketology aficionado already has a prediction bracket released for the preseason.

We’re all thinking the same thing: why so early? And we’re pretending that we don’t care where Lunardi has any team this early, but let’s be honest; we do care.

And we especially care where he has the Kentucky Wildcats, which is the No. 1 seed in the South region.

Should that happen, the Cats would play in Indianapolis, which would be pretty close to a home game. Although Indiana would be in the same region, as would another familiar foe in West Virginia. On top of that, the Cats would have a potential North Carolina matchup in the Elite Eight, so it would be a challenging and familiar region to be in.

The other No. 1 seeds are Duke, Kansas and Oregon. Duke is the No. 1 overall, of course (sigh).
