The Kentucky Wildcats are once again without Isaiah Briscoe.
The sophomore guard has been ruled out vs UT-Martin due to a lingering back injury he suffered last week vs Duquesne. The injury is not believed to be serious enough to sideline Briscoe if this were a more important game, but there is no point in risking further injury this early in the season.

Briscoe sat out UK’s 101-70 victory over Cleveland State on Wednesday. That game the Cats score their most points in single game this season, but they also allowed a season-high 70 points.
Briscoe’s defense helped UK limit their first four opponents to an average of 60 points. His offense hasn’t been too shabby either, as he’s averaging 18 points a game and had back-to-back 21-point games against Canisius and Michigan State.

Senior guard Dominique Hawkins started in Briscoe’s place for the Wildcats on Wednesday. Hawkins suffered a minor knee injury in that game and played only six minutes. Hawkins is warming up with a knee brace Friday night and should play.
