GAME THREAD: Kentucky WBB at Colorado

The Cats seek to go 4-0 as they face their first serious road challenge

NCAA Womens Basketball: SEC Basketball Tournament- Kentucky vs Florida Logan Bowles-USA TODAY Sports

Coming off a spectacular 92-43 victory over New Hampshire Thursday, the Cats are hitting the road today to face Colorado. What should we expect to see?

First off, you should expect to see the ongoing domination of Evelyn Akhator. The senior from Nigeria has had three double-double games to date, most recently with 17 points and 11 rebounds against New Hampshire.

You should also expect to see Makenzie Cann continue to turn heads. Six made three pointers in one game will do that.

And of course, you should expect to see Makayla Epps doing Makayla Epps’ things.

Colorado is coming off a ghastly 7-23 season, but its four returning starters have helped them start the season 2-0 with wins over Northern Colorado and Air Force. Should be a fun game for both teams to play.

Sadly, this game isn’t televised - no UK women's game is until they face Oklahoma on December 1st - but you can either watch the action at or tune in to hear the man, the myth, the legend Neil Price calling the game on 630 WLAP. Tipoff is at 9 PM EST tonight!

Hope to “see” you at 9 as we cheer these Cats onto victory!
