Kentucky Basketball highlights and box score from win over Canisius

The Cats are 2-0 thanks to big games from Briscoe and Fox.

The Kentucky Wildcats are 2-0 after beating Canisius on Sunday, 93-69.

The Cats got off to a very shaky start, enough that it looked like the 30-point underdog Golden Griffs may actually lead at the halftime break.

Isaiah Briscoe would have none of it, scoring 17 first-half points to give UK a 44-35 lead at the break. That helped the Cats go on a 17-4 run to end the half, and that run was part of a 57-24 stretch that helped UK put the game out of reach.

Briscoe and freshman guard De’Aaron Fox finished with 21 points apiece, while freshman guard Malik Monk notched 16. Freshman forward Bam Adebayo finished with 14 and 11, giving him the first of many double-doubles to come.

Here is the final box score from the game.
