The Kentucky Wildcats start their season off with a very impressive performance, beating Stephen F. Austin

The Cats opened up slow, holding what was basically a ten point lead the whole first half. UK had to finish the last 18 minutes of the game without their key post-player, Bam Adebayo, as he left with two fouls in the first 1:30 of the game.

Derek Willis and De’Aaron Fox picked up the slack for the Cats with 27 combined points with Willis having a strong defensive presence and Fox being the offensive producer with 12 assists. Wenyen Gabriel and Malik Monk chipped in 10 points apiece.

Stephen F. Austin may not be as good as they were last year, but still, the Lumberjacks are a very good first opponent for UK.

There is a lot you can take away from the box score, but whatever you look at, these Cats are really fast and really good.
