In the impossible event that you weren't aware, your second-ranked Kentucky Wildcats open the season tonight in Rupp Arena against reigning Southland Conference champions Stephen F. Austin at 7 p.m. EST on the SEC Network.

The Lumberjacks are widely projected to repeat as Southland champs, but this squad is markedly different from the group that upset #3 seed WVU as a #14 seed in the NCAAT last season.

Star forward Thomas Walkup (now on the Chicago Bulls' B League affiliate) is gone, along with several other impact makers from last season and head coach Brad Underwood (now at Oklahoma State).

New coach Kyle Keller (who comes from both the Bill Self and Billy Kennedy coaching trees) brought in under-the-radar PG prospect Aaron Augustin last spring, and Ty Charles and T.J. Holyfield return to head up a talented roster.
