The Kentucky Wildcats should be fully healthy just in time for their first exhibition game.
The Cats play host to Clarion on Sunday night, and it sounds like Isaac Humphries and Tai Wynyard will be good to go. During his Thursday meeting with the media, head coach John Calipari said Humphries “just told me he was 100 percent, so my guess is they'll both play" when asked about Isaac and Tai.
Calipari also said both have been practicing, which is good to see after they missed last most of the past two weeks. Wynyard has been missing practice due to a small fracture sustained on his face from an inadvertent elbow he caught during the live televised practice on Oct. 9.
As for Humphries, the sophomore center missed time due to a minor knee issue. He is a tight battle with other UK bigs to be the starting center this season. Both Humphries and Wynyard missed last week’s Blue-White Game.
Clarion, as you may recall, is UK Calipari’s alma mater. The Cats last faced the Golden Eagles on Nov. 6, 2009 in an exhibition game during Calipari’s first season at UK.
Cal’s Cats won that game 117-52.
