Kentucky hasn’t won three SEC games in a single season since 2009. They are hoping to change that today. But a win over Mississippi State not only puts this team in the record books, it makes the Cats’ bowl hopes that much more likely, AND makes UK sole owner of second place in the SEC East.
What a long and twisting road this season has been. From the heartbreaking opening against Southern Miss, to the agonizing near shut-out against Florida, to today. Today, where Kentucky can look ahead to the rest of the season and have a serious shot at going 5-3 in SEC play, and 7-5 overall.
So once again, today’s game is the most important one of Mark Stoops’ career. But more importantly, this could be one of the important games in program history. Can these Cats take advantage of what is unquestionably the weakest East lineup in years? Can they shatter years of cellar dweller status to break their way into the top, and a possible shot at playing in Atlanta?
Tim Tebow says no. Marcus Spears and Paul Finebaum say yes. What do the BBN, and players who represent it believe?
We can’t wait to find out. Join us at 7:30 EDT as the Cats host the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and make their play for a W....and so much more.
Let’s do this, Cats!
