Isaac Humphries and Tai Wynyard injury updates

Hoophall Miami Invitational - Kentucky v South Florida

The Kentucky Wildcats are holding out Tai Wynyard and Isaac Humphries out of the Blue-White Game, the school announced on Friday.

This comes as no surprise since both big men were sitting out at practice this week. Wynyard has been missing practice due to a small fracture sustained on his face from an inadvertent elbow he caught during the televised practice on Oct. 9.

The redshirt freshman is hoping to crack the rotation this season, but he’s already behind the eight ball before the season even begins.

As for Humphries, the sophomore center is still sitting out due to a minor knee issue, which the school is now calling knee soreness. UK is listing both players as day-to-day, so both should return fairly soon.

Frankly, even the most minor of injuries should keep players from suiting up in the Blue-White Game, which is essentially a glorified scrimmage/practice that UK fans get to watch in Rupp Arena.
