The Kentucky Wildcats had a surprise visitor for Big Blue Madness.
It came in the form of five-star big man Mohamed Bamba, according to Scout.com’s Evan Daniels.
Mohamed Bamba, Scout's No. 2 overall prospect, will be at Kentucky's Big Blue Madness this evening, per a source.

Mohamed Bamba's visit to Kentucky is an unofficial visit. Not an official. John Calipari has six 2017 five-stars in town.

This is huge news for UK in the recruitment of Bamba, who was previously not expected to visit Lexington for this event. Big Blue Madness is a big recruiting event that helps UK with any prospect they’re recruiting, so to get Bamba in Rupp Arena for it is great to see.
Bamba is ranked by Scout.com as the No. 2 overall prospect in 2017. ESPN and Rivals.com have him at No. 4 overall, while 247 has him at No. 3. He is classified as a center by ESPN and Scout, while 247 and Rivals has him as a power forward.
The good news is Bamba is both talented and versatile enough to play either spot, though he wants to play at forward in college. John Calipari’s position-less pitch has been a big factor in this recruitment, not to mention the comparison to Anthony Davis.
After it appeared Duke was the heavy favorite in this recruitment, UK has been the trendy pick recently. Seeing him at Big Blue Madness only reinforces that belief.
