After pushing out to an early 3-0 lead over the number one team in the country, Kentucky gave up 17 unanswered points in the first half. Considering 12 often them can be directly connected to two costly turnovers? That could have been much, much worse.
How does Kentucky recover?
- Better protection by our O-Line to allow Stephen Johnson more time. This may be the biggest challenge of the game, as Bama's defense is REALLY good.
- Spread the field a little better. Boom and Jojo are fighting but you can only run straight into a brick wall so many times.
- Less self-inflicted injuries. That fumble at their 20 will haunt us for weeks.
- Capitalize on the fact this is not a typical Bama offense. Thank goodness our Defense is on the rise under Stoops' supervision.
Don't give up, Kentucky fans. We knew this would be a VERY difficult game. I can't wait to see how this squad fights back.
