U.S. Army All-American Bowl: How to watch, UK commitments, rosters and more

U.S. Army All-American Bowl

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is the nation's premier high school football All-American game, featuring the best 90 players in an annual East vs. West matchup every January in San Antonio's Alamodome.

The game kicks off today on NBC with an unprecedented three Kentucky Wildcats commits playing in the game. Four-star offensive lineman Landon Young, four-star linebacker Kash Daniel and four-star offensive lineman Drake Jackson will be playing in today's game for the West squad.

Young is a four-star offensive tackle from Lafayette High in Lexington who is ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the state of Kentucky. 247Sports' Barton Simmons says Young should be in the hunt for a five-star rating. Rivals' Josh Helmholdt says, "There may not be a better-looking prospect on either team" than Young.

Jackson is a four-star center from Versailles, Ky., is ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the state. Simmons called Jackson the "the most valuable lineman" for the West team.

Daniel is a four-star inside linebacker from Paintsville, Ky., who is ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the state and was Mr. Football for the state of Kentucky this past season.

Both Rivals.com and 247Sports listed Jackson and Young among the top performers for the West team during practice this week. Rivals.com's Woody Wommack ranked UK's commitments as the third-most impressive group of any program after the first day of practice.

As for the game itself, the history of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl is filled with eventual college All-Americans, Heisman Trophy winners and more than 200 NFL players counted among its alumni. Throughout its 15 years, the game has featured the nation's most elite football players, including: Andrew Luck, Jamaal Charles, DeMarco Murray, Eric Berry, Patrick Peterson, LeSean McCoy, Sammy Watkins, and many others.
