The fresh out of Camp Cal Wildcats take on Andy Kennedy's Ole Miss Rebels tonight to open up SEC play. The 'Cats are an 11 point favorite but I think it will be closer than that. Last year the Rebels gave the 38-1 'Cats nearly more than they could handle.
The Rebels return Stefan Moody who hopes to make Rupp Arena his own personal backyard as he did last year. Expect Kentucky to come out hard and play will in my opinion. I think Camp Cal is going to have a significant impact on this year's team.

YOUR WILDCATS QUICKIES
- Just so you know where the UK program is vs. the Louisville program... Rick Pitino spent the day arguing with local reporters and discussing the hooker scandal. Coach Calipari spent the day hosting Reece King at practice, a kid who is a big UK fan and just finished chemotherapy.
- Regarding the game tonight, here is a link to all the pertinents on where to watch, etc.
- I posted a link in the quickies on Monday about the amount of injuries happening on hoverboards; it appears Coach Calipari has decided to take his shot at one. It did not end as badly as it could have, but it is kinda funny nonetheless.
- In the first tab I mentioned Pitino arguing with reporters, during that press conference, he also admitted the hooker scandal for the first time publicly.
- This is why it is so awesome to get to come to Rupp Arena, this story that fellow ASOBer Jacob fanposted is just awesome. Jacob and his family will be attending tonight for their first time at Rupp. I hope it's a great time Jacob.
- For the 7th straight semester, the UK student athletes have achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher, pretty impressive to see the department win on and off the court.
- I think UK will be getting help at QB depth in one of two guys. Former Oklahoma 4-star commit Justice Hansen or Stephen Johnson II. Both would be an upgrade over having Reese Phillips or true freshman Gunnar Hoak as our backup. Johnson is visiting on Jan 15th and could commit and enroll that day and be in for spring practice. Check out his highlight tape below, I am excited about the possibility.
YOUR NON-WILDCAT QUICKIES
- New Years day means one thing to the sports fan, bowl day. It is a day where you start at noon and you go through midnight watching some of the best teams in the nation do battle. Here is a rundown of the bowls of the day.

- Stanford's Christian McCaffrey went crazy in the Rose Bowl. He had 172 yards rushing and 105 yards receiving. He broke a Rose Bowl record for all-purpose yards and maybe he was sending a message to the Heisman voters.
- Dabo Swinney dancing after the win over Oklahoma will be the best thing you have seen in 2016.
- A Memphis player decided to tackle the Auburn ball boy after their game, steal the game ball, and then run off with the ball while flipping off the crowd.
- TCU Star Quarterback Trevone Boykin is supposed to lead the Horned Frogs out against Oregon today in the Alamo Bowl. However, he thought it was a good idea to argue with fans at 2 AM and punch a cop.
- John Wall decided to have a night last night, just a few of the highlights, including a block against former Hoosier Victor Oladipo
- Very Cool photographs of some of the world's top athletes side-by-side with themselves Then and Now.
- Tom Coughlin could be resigning as early as Monday, or Black Monday as it's known.
- Due to the Rose Bowl, the CFB Playoff began on New Year's Eve this year, there are a lot of fans not happy about this and I would imagine ESPN can be added to that list. Viewers were down 45% and 34% respectively for each game.
- The Stanford Band loves ticking people off during bowl games, this year was no different.
- Michigan State's mascot, Sparty, got a bit fresh with a Spartan cheerleader and grabbed seemingly a handful of off limits space.
- A Stanford fan decided to video bomb Christian McCaffrey's interview and decided to make it clear his thoughts on the heisman snub.
- Alabama's Kenyan Drake decided to pull a Chris Jones and flop like he had been shot after a minor sideline hit. To his credit, he had some fun with it yesterday with this tweet.
Which was the worse flop?

YOUR RANDOM QUICKIES
- Bill Cosby was arrested, and he decided to send out a thank you tweet to his fans... not sure he anticipated the responses.
- If you have small kids in this world, you have likely experienced them spending money on games on your phone or iPad that they should not have. Could you imagine finding out your kid had spent FIVE THOUSAND dollars on in-app purchases on a game on his iPad, yikes!! Lucky for him, he got his money back.
- Natalie Cole, daughter of Nat King Cole, has passed away at the age of 65 from congestive heart failure. May she rest in peace.
- A guy threw a cold cut slice of ham on his dog's face, then decided to facebook the pic out asking for prayers for the dog being a burn victim. The post went viral with people wishing well and prayers. The level of awareness of those people was zero, fyi.
- Leonardo DiCaprio was almost Anakin Skywalker, he passed on the role, here is why.
- The Walking Dead has a new Mid-Season trailer out and it is pretty good, I cannot wait till February 14th.
