Before the 2015-16 college basketball season, everyone looked at the Kentucky Wildcats vs Kansas Jayhawks matchup as a potential showcase of two national title contenders.
Though the Cats have hit a few bumps in the road, that's still shaping up to be a monster non-conference game that just so happens to come during conference play. We already knew the two blue-blood programs will square off in Allen Fieldhouse on Jan. 30, but now we know the game will be on ESPN at 7 pm ET.
The SEC and Big 12 announced the dates, times and TV schedule for ever Big 12/SEC Challenge matchup today, and it wasn't until then that the time and TV network for Kentucky vs Kansas was set. Eight of the 10 games will be televised on ESPN or ESPN2 and two games will air on ESPNU. All 10 games will also be available via WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app
All 10 of the Big 12's teams and 10 of the SEC's 14 member institutions will participate in this year's event. Each of the 10 SEC teams participating in the 2016 Challenge will also play in the 2017 event.
