The Kentucky Wildcats already have an impressive 2016 class, and it looks even better now that the lone QB in it has a four-star rating.
Gunnar Hoak, who committed to UK back in April, is now a four-star prospect on ESPN in addition to being their No. 15 QB. He's actually rated ahead of Messiah DeWeaver (No. 23 QB) and Tylin Oden (No. 18 dual-threat QB), both of whom UK recruited, but ended up committing to Michigan State and Louisville respectively.
Hoak, who hails from Dublin (Ohio) and plays at Coffman High School, completed 171 of 261 passes for 2,584 yards with 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions as a junior last season. The 6-4, 190-pound signal-caller had offers from Cincinnati and several MAC schools when he committed to UK. He is currently rated an 84 by 24/7 Sports and is considered the nation’s No. 51 pro-style QB. Scout.com ranks Hoak as the No. 35 QB in the class of 2016.
